Season 3 of the LFL Kicks off in Simple Ceremonies at the Aboitiz Pitch

Lipa City, 30 Sept – The third season of the Lipa Football League kicked off in simple ceremonies yesterday, 29 September 2019, at the Aboitiz Pitch of The Outlets at Lipa. The event started promptly at 7 p.m. with a parade of the participating teams.

All the clubs that featured in the previous season returned for Season 3 – ACF Real Molinillo de Lipa, Coffee Millers FC, FC Reigning Kickers, Green Stallions FC, Kings FC, defending champions La Salle FC, Legends FC, Lipa Emmanuel FC, Mentors FC and guest team Real Baraco FC of Batangas City.

After a short opening prayer delivered by Tyron Regalado, top goalscorer of Season 2, Rex Raymond Torrecampo, Chairman of the LFL’s organizing club ACF Real Molinillo de Lipa, welcomed all guests, players and people in the audience for the third staging of the city league.

In her short remarks, Dimaculangan said, “The Lipa Football League, like the Aboitiz Football Cup, and the rest of the initiatives at the Aboitiz Pitch, is able to highlight the importance of sports education not only in honing the skills of each participant, but also the values formation as these teach the importance of teamwork, camaraderie and respect.”

After her brief speech, Mark Anthony Fernandez of last year’s first runners-up club Mentors FC, ascended the stage to lead all the players in the recitation of the Oath of Sportsmanship.

The brief opening ceremonies concluded with the ceremonial kickoff by Dimaculangan along with Maricar Mogoal and Jonas Obada, the latter two of The Outlets at Lipa’s Marketing Office.

Four matches followed immediately. In Division I, ACF Real Monillo faced Green Stallions FC; while later Mentors FC squared off against Real Baraco FC. In Division II, Legends FC played against Season 1 champions FC Reigning Kickers; while Lipa Emmanuel FC tested Coffee Millers FC.

Season 3 of the Lipa Football League is jointly presented by ACF Real Molinillo de Lipa and The Outlets at Lipa, with sponsors Alltech, Atlanta, Penumovac, Ariela Marketing and Terragon.
